Highland dancing is a competitive style developed in the Scottish Highlands in the 19th and 20th centuries, in the context of events such as the Highland Games. It is often performed with the accompaniment of Highland bagpipe music, and dancers wear specialized attire and shoes. It is now seen at nearly every modern-day Highland Games event.
Our games will host two days of dance competition including the Phoenix Open Championship on Saturday March 5th.
We look forward to welcoming dancers back to the Phoenix Scottish Games!
