Volunteer at the Phoenix Scottish Games

  

Looking for a way to be a part of the games? Volunteering is a great way to gain confidence and feel a sense of achievement and self-worth. As a volunteer, you will be making a difference in the lives of those you help and interact with. You’ll make new friends and most of all, HAVE FUN!!


In exchange for your help, volunteers receive:

· Volunteer T-shirt 

· Volunteer a minimum of 4 hours to receive one free entry to the games

· Food and non-alcoholic beverages

· Access to a volunteer-only rest space

2024 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Review the following list for the areas we need your support. Please click on the sign-up link at the bottom of the page to make your selections!

Alcohol ID check station (must be 21+)

Description: Assist with checking attendees for age and attaching wristbands. Be available to the Alcohol Chairperson for assistance. You must be 21+.


Clans

Description: Assist Clans moving material to and from their sites.

 Involves lifting and carrying.


Entertainment

Description: Assist with the entertainment stage; including state managing, keeping the green room stocked, helping the performers, and assisting the Entertainment Chair.


Front Gates/Check-In/Program Handout

Description: Helping with tickets, wristbands,  handing out programs.

 

Grounds Observer 

Description: Monitoring trash bins for swap out, checking in with each area periodically, monitoring the crowd for assistance where needed. 


Parking

Description: Help guide attendees to and from parking area as needed.


Pipe Bands/Massed Bands 

Description: Steward the pipe band contest, assist with crowd control for massed bands, assist the piping and drumming chair and judges.

 

Tartan Taxi Drivers (must be 25+)

Description: Shuttle attendees and chiefs throughout event as needed.  

 Due  to insurance/liability issues, drivers must be 25 years of age or older.  


Set-Up

Description: Assisting with games set up. This is for those who like to get physical. 


Tear-Down

Description: Assisting with games tear-down after it’s all over. 

Again, geared to those who enjoy physical labor.


VIP Lounge (must be 21+)

Description: Entrance check-in, food and beverage monitoring, general cleaning and clearing of tables, exchanging trash bin.


Volunteer  Check-In Tent 

Description:   Assist Volunteer Coordinator with checking in fellow volunteers, handing out t-shirts and attaching wristbands.
